Please join us at 1 p.m. on October 22nd to celebrate the ribbon cutting with tours, remarks by community members, and light refreshments.
ACCT began construction of 10 brand-new energy efficient units as well as rehab of 12 units in historic buildings along North Pleasant Street in 2014. The new units were completed and leased to low- and moderate-income families in January 2015, and the remaining 12 rehabbed units will be completed in October 2015. If you are interested in renting an apartment in this community, please contact our leasing office at 877-3749. You can download a copy of our application at www.addisontrust.org/apartments. This weekend, ten Middlebury College students who chose to learn about housing access as their freshman orientation trip came up to Vergennes for a tour of several ACCT properties. First, we met at ACCT's senior housing facility, Armory Lane. The group discussed housing need and policy at the national, state, and local levels, and tested their affordable housing IQ. (Follow the link at the bottom of this post to test yours!) Afterwards, we made short trip over to the future site of a planned 14-unit net zero VerMod community, which is currently a blighted mobile home park and brownfield site. It was a such a pleasure hosting the visit and engaging with a new group of newly minted Addison County residents--we're already looking forward to next year's MiddView! |
