Before this past year, ACCT had not made annual giving a part of its strategy. A majority of our operating funds come from rents and from fees associated with developing new units. However, with ever increasing competition for resources at the state level and our mission to keep rents affordable, we face heightened pressure on our budget. In 2015, we turned to you, the community, for support, to ensure that ACCT can continue to build and manage affordable housing for years to come.
You responded in spades. Thanks to the generosity of dozens of community members, we successfully raised over $24,000 over the course of 2015, largely through the annual appeal we launched last month--which was wonderfully highlighted in the Addison Independent. We hope you check out the print version at http://bit.ly/1ZoG3Ed, and continue to give in 2016! Thank you from all of us at ACCT, Elise Shanbacker
