On June 8, Addison County hosted members of Governor Scott's cabinet and other administration officials, who came to the county to share information and visit some of the projects made possible by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Thanks to the ARPA-funded Healthy Homes Initiative for Manufactured Housing Communities (MHCs) administered by the Agency of Natural Resources (ANR), 67 households in Middlebury will benefit from a new community septic system at Lindale. Almost a third of the $4MM project is being funded by ARPA, with the rest coming from USDA Rural Development, the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, the Vermont Community Development Program, and the EPA via a Congressionally Directed Spending award from Senator Sanders. WCAX covered the story.

Thank you everyone who came out for ACCT's Annual Meeting on May 25th--it was a wonderful evening of celebrating accomplishments and looking toward the future. We welcomed four new Board members, and also raised $400 for our affordable housing programs!
The next Board meeting will take place at 4pm on Thursday, June 22nd, at the National Bank of Middlebury at 30 Main St in Middlebury. A Zoom option is also available. The link is in the agenda. |
