ACCT was founded over 25 years ago as a membership organization. Per our bylaws, in order to be an active member, General Members and Leaseholder Members must meet continuing membership requirements, which include 1) paying dues, & 2) attending at least one meeting every 2 years. ACCT has waived dues for General Members; Leaseholder Members pay dues in the form of lease fees. ACCT has also not held a formal meeting of the membership in the last 2 years, so the purpose of this meeting is to reestablish membership and provide broad notice to the community. Attendance at this meeting is required in order to meet the continuing membership criteria going forward.
When: June 1, 2016, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Where: Armory Lane Senior Housing, 50 Armory Ln, Vergennes, VT RSVP: http://bit.ly/ACCTmeeting (RSVP appreciated but not required) Light refreshments will be provided. Agenda
Just since posting yesterday's update on the Gevry Park redevelopment into McKnight Lane, we've received a lot of interest in learning more about what the new development will be like and how to qualify. For example:
This week, ACCT began demolition on the 13 vacant mobile homes that have blighted the former Gevry mobile home park just outside of Vergennes in Waltham. The park will be redeveloped as McKnight Lane Limited Partnership, a brand new development of 14 net-zero "Vermods," high performance modular homes made in Wilder, VT. ACCT anticipates delivery of the new Vermods to begin in June. Last week, the Vergennes City Council approved a sidewalk extension from the current sidewalk terminus at Thomas Circle to the entry of McKnight Ln, so future residents will have safe pedestrian access into downtown Vergennes, about a mile away. ACCT is grateful to the City of Vergennes and all our funders for their support of this critically needed development!
