​FAMILY ORIENTED SERVICES - FOOD, HEALTH, AND EDUCATION

• Child Care Financial Assistance - a state program which pays subsidies directly to child care providers. 
• Youth and Family Counseling Services - the Counseling Services of Addison County offers programs which provide therapy, community supports and case management to youth, children and their families in school, office, home and community-based settings. 
• Vermont Head Start - a Federal program that promotes the school readiness of children from birth to age five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social, and emotional development, while focusing on parents and guardians as a child's most important teacher. 
• Reach Up Vermont - a service for families with children which can provide support for work, cash assistance for basic necessities, and health insurance. 
• Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) - provides healthy food purchase support, nutrition and physical activity education, and assistance connecting to other resources for pregnant and breastfeeding/postpartum women, new mothers, and young children.  
• School Breakfast and Lunch Program - youth may receive a free, nutritious breakfast and lunch at their school every day. 
• Summer Food Service - a program in which community partners provide free lunches every weekday to youth under age 18, to ensure that youth have access to nutritious food when they aren't in school or participating in the school lunch program. 
• Special Milk Program - a program which provides free milk to children who are too young to qualify for the free school lunch program.
• Children's Integrated Services - a program for youth with disability, developmental difficulty, or behavioral issues, which provides early intervention, family support, and prevention services that help ensure the healthy development and well-being of children, pre-birth to age 5.
